Erin Funk, RN, BN
Education Liaison

Region: Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, Manitoba

Erin is originally from Opaskwayak Cree Nation/The Pas, Manitoba. She moved away from the North to attend school in Brandon University. Not having traveled or lived anywhere else other than the Pas, it was a huge change for her. A change that she grew to love.

Erin has worked primarily in Community Health Nursing for First Nation Communities. She has worked for her home community of OCN, Long Plain First Nation, and Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. She also has experience working in primary care - downtown Winnipeg, long term care, and her absolute passion - maternity care and neonatal intensive care unit. Pregnant moms, babies and new families are her specialty.

On a personal note, she is a mother, a sister, a daughter, a colleague, kind, and believes that laughter is the best medicine :)
