Suzanne Stephenson is an Engagement Liaison in the SE First Nations, Inuit and Métis (FNIM) Program. She is bilingual in English and French. In her role Suzanne works in partnership with FNIM communities, health care providers and organizations on knowledge sharing and exchange initiatives, with the FNIM Program belief that the answers to understanding and solving complex health care issues, improving access and addressing barriers to care are found within communities
She brings to this position several years of experience working with First Nations and for not-for-profit organizations, including the Montreal First Peoples Festival
Suzanne graduated from Laurentian University with an Honours Bachelor of Indigenous Studies, where she did her fourth-year research on the social, cultural and health effects of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement. She also has a Certificate in Project Management from Ryerson University and the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
