Community Health Representative (CHR) Certification Program

About the Program

The Community Health Representative (CHR) Certification Program is designed to prepare individuals who currently work in a CHR position to deepen their understanding of CHR core knowledge and skills required to successfully fulfill this unique role found within Indigenous communities.

In collaboration, SE Health Career College and the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis (FNIM) Program proudly offer a 52-week CHR Program.

It combines:

  • 6 days of face-to-face instructions, split into two 3-day sessions
  • Self-directed e-learning modules
  • Weekly virtual gatherings to reinforce learning

This year-long program provides flexibility while equipping participants with practical skills and knowledge.

Graduates of the Indigenous CHR Program receive a certificate of completion from our not-for-profit and regulated SE Career College in Kingston.
