Foundations of Wound Prevention and Management for PSWs – Ontario

In 2020-2021, the SE First Nations, Inuit and Métis Program led a Wound Care Education Program, funded by Indigenous Services Canada, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Ontario Region.

This course is designed for Personal Support Workers (PSWs) in First Nations communities that are interested in learning more about wound prevention and management. The course is interactive and its seven modules incorporate evidence-based guidelines for wound prevention and management. The objective of this course is to support a foundational level of wound prevention and management knowledge for all PSWs workign in Home and Community Care in Ontario First Nations.
