Education Liaison
Laurie Lee is an RN who joined the FNIM Program in January 2022 as the Palliative Resource Nurse and is currently working in the role of Education Liaison. She brings 35 years of nursing experience including primary care in oncology and palliative care, general surgery, ENT, homecare visiting nursing, occupational health and travel medicine, management in long-term care, and leadership and management with SE Health. Laurie Lee started with SE Heath in January 2017 as a Health Service Supervisor in the Ottawa region and transferred to the Kingston Region in 2019 as the Lead Health Service Supervisor before joining the FNIM team.
Laurie Lee is passionate about palliative care and believes every life’s ending should be as dignified and beautiful as its beginning. She is excited to share her knowledge to guide nurses in providing culturally safe care to ensure clients live well across their life spans and in all practice settings.
Laurie Lee is originally from the Ottawa Valley but as a military wife and mother of a daughter and son, she has lived and worked in 8 different cities across Ontario and New Brunswick.
Laurie Lee would like to acknowledge that she lives and works in Harrowsmith, Ontario, located in Treaty 57, the traditional homelands of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinabek, and Wendake-Nionwentsio people.
