Education and Communications Coordinator
In August of 2025, Kelsea joined the First Nations, Inuit and Metis Program (FNIM) at SE Health as an Education and Communications Coordinator. She brings over seven years of experience working collaboratively with diverse teams to produce original communications materials and implement engagement strategies to the FNIM team.
With extensive experience organizing public consultation activities, implementing knowledge mobilization plans and developing communications strategies, Kelsea has worked to help build community trust in supportive housing, affordable housing and community-based service initiatives across British Columbia and Ontario for Urban Indigenous communities and people experiencing homelessness. She has also worked in academic and research settings to coordinate and facilitate educational events, workshops and seminars.
As someone deeply passionate about storytelling, communication and cultural connection, Kelsea holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Journalism from Langara College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of British Columbia. She has also completed coursework in Indigenous Studies through the University of Alberta, as well as coursework in Stylistic Editing and Communications through Simon Fraser University.
