In May 2009, the home and community care orientation course was developed and launched as part of a joint initiative between SE Health and the Manitoba First Nations and Inuit Home and Community Care (MB FNI HCC) Program. The orientation course was developed as a one-stop-shop for program information and resources. The goal of this course is to offer a standardized home and community care program orientation and support communities to provide phenomenal care to community members. Although the course has been developed specifically for health care workers in Manitoba First Nation communities, the course is available to interested individuals and contains general information relevant in other provinces.
The course content has been updated by a clinical subject matter expert to reflect up-to-date clinical best practices, based on evidence, and the course relaunched in 2023.
Topics
